IMAGES from (WEST) GERMANY
This photographer first visited Bonn in 1961, but frequent travel to West Germany took place between 1971 and 1980. The pictures that are included below are from this latter period. Most were taken in the vicinity of the Rhein and Mosel Rivers, and in Bavaria. Additional images from a rather extensive set of digitized photographs are planned for later augmentation of this web page.

| Shop windows in Europe can be fascinating to visitors from the United States. The items for sale are often unique, and the manner of display different from what we are accustomed to. The shop window above left was in Hamburg and the china was exquisite (and expensive). The model airplanes in the window above-right was in Munich. Germany manufactures some of the very finest model airplanes, boats, etc. Spargel Season brings lots of Asparagus to Europe's markets. | |
